Why outta the boat???

This was a phrase my father said a lot.  “Get out of the boat”  or even still “Outta the boat.” He was referencing Matthew 14: 22-33. The Gospel in which Jesus walks on water.  He would say it to me and my siblings when we doubted ourselves, doubted a situation or were perhaps tentative in our decision-making.  Especially  when he felt we need not be.  Beyond the obvious tenets of Christianity and faith that surround this Gospel passage there exists a secular application that resonates for all- DO THINGS OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND CHALLENGE YOURSELF. Don’t be afraid to buck the trend and do what you feel is right. To have above all else trust and confidence in your ideas.  I think that’s a pretty cool mantra to try and live by.
